The Museum of History & Industry, Seattle, King County
The Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI) has been a Seattle favorite since 1952. MOHAI features award-winning exhibits and programs that bring over 150 years of Pacific Northwest history to life. Set in a park on the shores of Lake Washington in Seattle's Montlake neighborhood, MOHAI is minutes from downtown and Eastside suburbs on State Route 520. Ample free parking on-site, plus access to the Washington Park Arboretum.
Picturing the Century (Open through December 17, 2006)
The Museum of History & Industry presents Picturing The Century, a special exhibit featuring indelible 20th century images from the National Archives. Lectures and other special programs will be offered throughout the run of the show. Presented with support from MOHAI members and donors.
Norman Rockwell's Home For The Holidays (Opens Saturday, October 28, 2006 ) No illustrator better expressed the ideals of the American middle class during the 20th century than Norman Rockwell, and MOHAI is proud to present this exhibit from the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Featuring dozens of original holiday covers from the Saturday Evening Post, this special display will inspire memories and demonstrate the power of hand-drawn illustrations to new generations. Norman Rockwell's Home For The Holidays closes Monday, January 17, 2007.
ESSENTIAL SEATTLE (Opens Monday, November 13, 2006)
MOHAI presents a major new exhibit examining more than 150 years of Seattle history, with artifacts, interactive elements and new scholarship. ESSENTIAL SEATTLE will be accompanied by lectures and a series of special programs.
