Woodland Park Zoo's Real Close Tours now available!

Get a behind-the-scenes look at the "heart" of the zoo’s operations area, including the commissary, where all of the food for our more than 1,100 animal residents is stored and prepped.  Visit our greenhouses — home to more than 900 orchids and other New and Old World tropical plants used in a variety of exhibits around the zoo.  Think your pets at home eat a lot?   Wait until you see how much food it takes to keep our gorillas and grizzly bears happy!  At the conclusion of your tour, you’ll be free to explore the rest of the zoo on your own, or if you cannot stay longer, your guide will escort you back to the South Plaza.
