Ride the Ducks of Seattle and Starlight Children’s Foundation Northwest Partner with Swedish Hospital to Take Local Children on a Unique Tour of Seattle
Ride the Ducks of Seattle and Starlight Children's Foundation Northwest are partnering with Swedish Hospital to take seriously ill children and their families on the 4th Annual Ride the Ducks Starlight Tour. Ride the Ducks has donated three of their WWII “Ducks” for the tour which takes place this Wednesday, May 18th, at 4pm.
The Ducks will pick up the children and their families and depart from Swedish Hospital, 747 Broadway, on Thursday, May 18, 2011 at 4pm. After seeing all the sights of Seattle, the Duck will SPLASH into Lake Union to see Gasworks Park and a breathtaking view of the skyline. The tour will last ninety minutes and the kids will return to Swedish Hospital around 5:30pm.
Ride the Ducks started this partnership with the Starlight Children’s Foundation Northwest in 2008. This is the 4th Annual Ride the Ducks Starlight Tour. “It’s incredible to watch the children’s faces light up when the Ducks splash into Lake Union. To be able to be a part of this is really heart-warming for the entire staff,” says Brian Tracey, President of Ride the Ducks.
