Seattle Children's Museum provides an accessible, fun, and educational play experience for our community. Spend your day in a family friendly environment, where your kids will participate in art, culture, and STEM/inquiry-based programming!
Our mission is to bring to life the joy of discovery for children and their families through fun, creative, hands-on exploration of the world around them. We achieve this through hands-on exhibits and educational programming.
Our educational programming is aligned with Washington State’s Early Learning Guidelines for children ages 10 and younger. We offer a series of educator-led programs that rotate daily based on our monthly themes. In addition to our Museum staff, we host local artists (dancing groups, musicians, painters) for special events and weekly programming. We also incorporate guest artists into the programs, such as visiting actors and children’s book authors performing or reading stories, or guest musicians playing mini-concerts.
We give visitors a look into a spectrum of cultures and activities in our 18,000 sq. ft. space. Exhibits like the Bijou Theatre, Metropolitan Market, and Global Village create an environment for open-ended education and imaginative play. Besides regular admission, we have Discovery Days Camps, Birthday Party Rooms, Group Visits, and Volunteer opportunities!
