Seattle Children’s Museum

Engaging children and adults through discovery and play

Learn through play at the Seattle Children’s Museum! Immerse yourself in our playscape authentically inspired by our Pacific Northwest community.

Seattle Children’s Museum offers a unique learning experience for children and adults alike to grow and connect through playful, creative, hands-on exploration and discovery. We offer a welcoming space for all to visit to engage, interact, encounter physical challenges and puzzles, and have your curiosity peaked and senses evoked.

Stock the shelves of our local market, deliver packages to every store-front, and care for four-legged friends – all in our neighborhood exhibit. Delve into storytelling from local Coast Salish tribes and recreate and reimagine your favorites with puppets in Tribal Tales. Venture through the wilderness embarking up and into our Mountain exhibit, while tracking wildlife and exploring the flora and fauna Pacific Northwest nature has to offer. Tinker and create in the Corner Workshop, or cozy up for a quiet but engaging story time in the newly reimagined Raindrop Reading Room.

Plan Your Visit

Conveniently located under the Space Needle in the heart of the Seattle Center, Seattle Children’s Museum can be found on the lower level of the Armory Building. No reservations necessary, tickets purchased at the front desk only. Museum admission is valid for re-entry for the whole family, so you’re free to experience the other attractions Seattle Center has to offer between play breaks. The Armory also offers a wide array of food options found just upstairs from us for when you’ve played up an appetite.

In addition to our 14,000 square feet of museum space, we host rotating temporary exhibits and offer daily free programs for all museum visitors to enjoy. We actively partner with community partners and educators representing a wide range of organizations to keep educational programs current and aligned with the museum’s mission, vision, and values.

Featured rotating activities have included nature encounters, story times, creative art/science workshops, classes with 1:1 instruction time, and more. Seattle Children’s Museum also offers group rates for groups or field trips, and offers party or event rental options.
