Seattle for All: Accessible & Sensory-Friendly Adventures

August 13, 2024

We’re firm believers that everyone should have opportunities to experience the attractions they are interested in visiting, no matter what and knowing what to expect can help you have a great time. That’s why we wanted to share a special list with you of great attractions in Seattle with accessible and sensory-friendly environments so that everyone can feel welcome.

Accessibility features that benefit those with disabilities can also improve the experience for everyone, like wider walkways, clear signage, or mobility rentals. These make attractions more welcoming to older adults, families with young children, and people with temporary injuries.

Sensory-friendly environments allow visitors to experience a museum or attraction just as others would, but with reduced distractions and stimulation that could be overwhelming and create stress. Examples include attendance times with smaller crowds or changes to lighting and music settings.
